Risqué Business
Today there's one of the last P4 parties. The theme is "Sxxxs and Superheroes". I know I should censor a little bit, otherwise Dean Fatas (whom I like very much) will jump on my back...I must share a funny episode though. Hell censorship and PC.
As one girl went into the only Costume shop in Fonty (or it could have been another shop), she asked for several things to wear. Upon seeing what the saleslady suggested her, still not convinced it would match the party's theme, she engaged into the following conversation (faithfully reported to me):
Student: "Hum, not really. Do you have something more risqué..."
Saleslady: "Risqué? What do you mean by risqué?"
Student: "Well, hum, you know, something more Pxte..."
Saleslady: "Oops. Are you at INSEAD. This must be an INSEAD party..."
Obviously, if you don't have the slightest fluency in French, you will never get it.
Anyway, the party's theme is, in this record 24th day of sunshine in a row (they said it in the news), showing off boys and girls' visible assets.
D-2 before India.

Domo, love your Blog and read it almost every day (in preparation for next fall). Can you elaborate a little more on male/female relations at Insead? What’s the dating scene like? What are the dynamics in an environment where the male to female ratio is so lopsided? Is there a lot of drama and gossip or do people try to keep things relatively professional?
I haven't answered that one... Well I think you'll find it very easy to mate over here. People are approachable and nice and open and willing. I guess that some guys are totally out of the scene (married...) so it is not that bad. And there's more than INSEAD chicks right. Although I must say, some people really lacked action. As to gossips it's like in Corporate World. You'll hear some, but only if you care about it, you'll listen...
Thanks for reading.
Cheers. All the best.
